Worship

There is something very powerful that happens when the people of God meet together to bring Him praise and to worship Him, to encourage one another and build each other up in their faith.

At NSBC we are blessed to have a Worship Team of over 40 people who share the ministry of leading us in worship each week who share our vision:

A growing team, united in the focus of ministering creatively to God’s people and bringing them into a closer relationship with Him.”

We strive each week to make our Worship Services authentic and God-honouring through the reading of the Word, through led and open prayer times, through reflection times, through music and other creative arts, and through the teaching of the Word. Every fortnight we participate in Communion together, and on the alternate Sunday engage the children of the congregation through a led Children’s Spot within the Service.

Our congregation is diverse and spans all age groups, so we use a wide variety of music in our Services – from classic hymns such as  “Amazing Grace” and contemporary versions of other hymns, songs by Kari Jobe, Brooke Ligertwood, Chris Tomlin, Christy Nockels, songs from Hillsong’s Team, C3, Parachute Band and also songs written by members of our Worship Team themselves. Our playlist of songs is very extensive, which enables us to have great variety in our Services.

Weekly practices for the upcoming Sunday Service are held each Thursday night, and a whole-team practice is held monthly for the purpose of uniting together and learning new songs.
